Christina Arellano

Christina is from the Four Corners. She loves the surrounding environment and beautiful sunsets. She has been practicing yoga at Blue Mesa since the winter of 2006. Christina has always led an active lifestyle with an interest in sports of all varieties. She fell in love with yoga after her first class and her passion grew more with each experience. In 2009, Christina was inspired to move to Kripalu, a yoga and retreat center in Massachusetts, for a year. While there she had an opportunity to study with teachers for all over the world. She has since returned back to Blue Mesa to share what she learned.

"Learning by teaching & growing together in a community."

Stacy Sandel

Stacy began yoga when she was pregnant with her first child almost 10 years ago. After moving to Farmington, she was delighted to find Blue Mesa Studio and has been practicing with Blue Mesa since it first opened in 2004. Stacy completed her first Yoga Certification with the Yoga Institute in Houston, TX. She has continued her education with a variety of teachers and some of her favorites have included Srivatsu Rama Swami, Tias Little, and Gurmukh Khalsa . Stacy has also completed additional certifications in Prenatal Yoga as well as Children’s Yoga.

The greatest gift yoga has given Stacy is the ability to relax into life, let go and allow things to unfold as they will.

Stacy believes that yoga is for every ”body” and enjoys discovering ways to make yoga accessible to all. She also loves to help beginners uncover their strengths and accept and work through their challenges.

In addition to her passion for yoga, Stacy enjoys playing with family and friends, hiking, biking, skiing, and traveling. Stacy is also a licensed Occupational Therapist and Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Come share the joy and power of transformation that yoga can bring!

Cassidy Burns

Cassidy had her first exposure to yoga in college in 2002 and soon thereafter began a regular study and practice. She enjoys Hatha and Vinyasa and began instructing in 2006. Currently she is a wife and mother of two and has found a profound and healing home practice through the science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

"My self-exploration has been enlightening, my lessons have been profound, and The Yoga has brought me limitless Grace. So with this I am honored to share and expand with you."

Elizabeth (Kali) Ley

Kali grew up in the Farmington area. She has been practicing yoga since 1998. She has been with the Blue Mesa family since 2004. She loves being a part of the yogic community, and it's been fun to see it grow!

She has been in marketing for over 20 years. This last year she offered a modality which assists in releasing "Physical and Emotional" trauma. That is very rewarding and still offers that practice part time. Recently I accepted a position back in the marketing field and am enjoying being back. I also (about the same time) accepted the position of directing Blue Mesa Yoga Studio. She is honored to have the priveledge to serve in this capacity. She has also completed "Foundation of Wisdom Teachings" through Humanity in Unity. That brought much joy to connect with others in that way.

Looking forward to witnessing and being part of the "new wave" of Blue Mesa Yoga Studio. Feel free to share ideas or make suggestions. Much love and gratitude for the Blue Mesa Yoga family!!

Chelsie Wallace

Coming from a sports/fitness background I was inspired to further my knowledge with anatomy, nutrition, and exercise science in college where I received a degree in Health and Fitness Management. Continuing with my interest in the human body, I then was certified as a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), then a certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a health and fitness specialist. I then wanted to take a more balanced approach to working with the human body and graduated from the Rocky Mountain Institute of Healing Arts and became a licensed massage therapist and later an infant massage/touch practitioner. I am an Active Isolated Stretching/Strengthening practitioner and a registered yoga teacher. My interest in the human body and how much we can learn about ourselves through movement inspires me to share with others what I have learned and continue to learn.

Leslie Cox

Born and raised in the Four Corners I have been pursuing therapeutic avenues for healing for over 10 years.  I was introduced to Classic Pilates during my continued search for solutions to unified body control and free-flowing movement.  I chose Pilates due to the focus on integration of the whole body and mind as a system for uniform development. I have had great joy in seeing personal mind and body benefits for myself and others.  Studying for a PMA Certification under a 3rd generation Pilates Instructor, I have over 440 hours of structured training in pilates.
