1. Please plan on arriving for your class 5-10 minutes early. (The doors are locked during class.)

  1. Sign-in and mark card/pay before entering the practice space.

  1. Visiting is done in the hall before the yoga session. Before class sit or lie down and enjoy a quiet moment. For many, this time is their only quiet time so let’s honor the quite space. Feel free to stay for tea and visit then. Thank you.

  1. When practicing, remember yoga is not about competition with yourself or others. Focus on your breath and finding your yogic edge of strength and stretch.

  1. At the end of each class make sure to replace props leaving the studio ready for the next class. There is an art to folding blankets, if you’re unsure just ask. If you are borrowing a mat, please, wipe it down and put it away.

  1. Water during your practice: you are welcome to bring water bottles into the practice space. However, we generally do not drink water during our sessions for a few reasons. The first is that during yoga we are working to build an internal fire to stimulate digestion and remove toxins, by drinking fluids we cool the fire. Another good reason to refrain from drinking water is that it can become a conscious or subconscious distraction from your practice. Just be aware of the “reasons” you are wishing to stop and find your water bottle (maybe you are in an uncomfortable position or your least favorite yoga pose).

  1. Registration and Cancellations: We encourage pre-registration for all our classes. This ensures that you have a space and that we will be there. If the class has low attendance it may be cancelled or postponed. You are also making a commitment to yourself when you reserve a space. We understand life is full, if you can not make it to a class just call or email. If you are “on the list” and happen to not call or email your spot maybe given away. It is ok to call during class or even later, so we know you are planning on attending next time.
