DeAnn Barry, RYT-200

DeAnn began studying yoga with Jane Sayer when she was 18 years old and living in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  She continued her studies in Lincoln, Nebraska with Cary Twomey of Haymarket Pilates and Yoga Center.

Upon moving to New Mexico, DeAnn sought teacher certification through The Yoga Institute and Bookshop of Houston, TX (Sept. 2004).  In 2006, DeAnn began her studies with, world renowned, Prana Vinyasa creator Shiva Rea. Wanting to offer her students a new experience she attained a Pilates certification in 2007.

Her range of classes from beginner to intermediate are all influenced by the Viniyoga, Iyengar, Kundalini and Vinyasa style, incorporating preperatory and transitional movements into and out of each set of asanas (poses) and a strong focus on breath awareness.  She has also organized several retreats for the Blue Mesa Community, adding her love of music and dance to the overall yoga mix.

Stacy Sandel  Stacy began her yogic journey in Santa Fe while pregnant with her daughter, Stella. Upon moving to Farmington, Stacy was thrilled to find Blue Mesa Studio in Aztec and quickly became "hooked" on yoga.

She has been practicing at Blue Mesa Studio since it opened and is excited to now be teaching there.

Stacy is a licensed Occupational Therapist experienced in treating children and adults with special needs and physical disabilities. She earned her Yoga Certification from the Yoga Institute and Bookshop of Houston, Texas.

Rob Heyduck   Rob's been practicing yoga since 1993, and decided to finally seek teacher certification in March 2007 through YogaFit. Rob now teaches hatha and gentle yoga at the Aztec studio.

He is also the webmaster and studio handyman and, when not involved int he studio, is a research specialist at the New Mexico State University Farmington Agricultural Science Center.

Cassidy Burns  Cassidy began her yoga journey in Greeley Colorado while attending college in 2002.She immediately fell in love, though it was not until she moved to Farmington that she really dove into it. Iyengar Yoga is her foundation but in the last 3 years Vinyasa Yoga has become her true love. During her pregnancy in 2006 Cassidy practiced yoga and attributes it to her mellow labor and speedy recovery. She feels yoga is truly a gift on every level - emotionally, spiritually, and physically. She considers it a blessing to be able to offer other women the gift of yoga during their time of transition.
